A Journalist

It was time for a career change. After spending five years as a school teacher and rugby coach, I’m now working as a  journalist. After a year and a bit as a freelancer, I’ve been working for The Province on their web desk since July 2013.

On this site you’ll find clippings from my journalism training at Langara College and links to the blogs where I contribute.

I’ve written about hockey, soccer and rugby for The Province, been part of the web team for Postmedia News’ coverage of the Sochi Winter Olympics and Rio Summer Olympics, hockey for Hockey Now, rugby for RugbyCA. I’ve appeared on CBC Radio and TV, as well as TSN 1040 radio in Vancouver. I’ve also done play-by-play commentary for webcasts of BC Premier League rugby and the Rugby Canada National University 7s.

My interests are broad (sports, the arts, politics…) but at their core are people. I’m fascinated by what people do and why they do it.
